Drew Smith — aka Drewstyle — is a Scottsdale-born DJ and open-format specialist who has spent years moving rooms across the Valley's premier nightlife scene.

He holds a master's in broadcast journalism from ASU's Cronkite School, and it shows. On the mic, on the mix, always reading the crowd — he communicates as well as he performs.

He first touched decks at 14. But he learned what makes a room move from the floor up. Every set is built live off the crowd. No preplanned playlists. No autopilot. No dead air.

Drew didn't come up through a bedroom setup and a SoundCloud link. He came up on the floor — learning at Whiskey Row Sundays in Old Town, watching what actually makes a room move, after first touching the decks at 14.

Along the way he picked up a master's in broadcast journalism from ASU's Cronkite School. That's why the mic work feels as natural as the mixing — he's always been a communicator first.

The grind paid off. A residency at Estelle Scottsdale. Regular rooms across Old Town and the Valley. A So Scottsdale feature and Fabulous Arizona coverage coming soon.

Now he splits his time between the booth and building Posh Promotions — connecting brands, venues, and talent across Arizona nightlife. But the sets still come first. Every one built live, off the crowd, in the moment.
